YMCA training saturday mornings
I used to train with Phil saturday mornings at the YMCA Broomhall Sheffield also at the uptairs room in the Lordens Dinnington, Sunday mornings. There were others my friend Frank Senior And a guy called Steve who later went to Japan to train.

Don’t know if anyone is still reading these posts or whether it’s gone into permanent hibernation but I trained at Sheffield YMCA from 1968 through the seventies, also at the Lordens. I think the Steve that was mentioned above (who went to train in Japan) was Steve Bellamy. I’m sure I must have met jonniboy (you weren’t the runner who thought that the Paarluf was a good idea when we were in that cafe near Sheffield YM one dinner time? The cafe where someone who will remain nameless said that knocking a house down would be fun..). Likewise I’m sure I must have met Graham Casterton but I can’t put a face to the name.
Cheers
