The Falcon / Lordens
Hi all, just wondering if anyone out there trained with Phil at the Falcon Pub in the early 60s, then at the infamous Lordens, I myself was a bit young for the Falcon but the Lordens !!! anyone ever get pushed out of the window on the slate roof in freezing temperatures during the class, the drop into the yard below was about eight foot, BUT, what about the devil dog, the hound from hell patroling the courtyard, oops, so there was a face peering through the frosty window willing the lesson to end, then pulled in suffering from hypothermia, happy days, any other anecdotes ? Lordens
Hi Kiddo
I always remember Phil telling us about the dog at Lordens. He was sick of the sight of white after SO many Karateka being thrown out into his 'domain'.
So much so that Phil told us of a wedding there. The dog upon seeing the bride in her 'lovely white dress' went beserk, attacked her and tore it to shreds. It was 'white rag to a bull' so to speak!!
Her 'Big Day' inadvertently ruined by O' Sensei Milner. I don't think they held many wedding functions after that.
Best wishes
