Andrew's karate career started February 2000 at the Wareham & Purbeck Shotokan Karate Club, under the watchful eye of Sensei Glyn Morgan.
On achieving his 1st Dan Andrew attained his EKGB Club Coach certificate in November 2005. He went on to pass his second Dan in 2009. Andrew is currently a club coach at Wareham & Purbeck Shotokan Karate Club.
Andrew has also represented the British Army Karate Team and Combined Services Karate Team in national and international competitions in both Kata and kumite.
