Hi baggy, really sorry to hear your dad had passed away, I remember Stuart as he used to come over to Kiveton on a regular basis with Phil , he did many a grading at our club, sadly I never saw him again probably mid to the late 70s. Once again deepest sympathy to you and your family. Ken

Dear Baggy,
So very sorry to hear about your Dad, my sincere condolences to you and your family.
I remember Stuart with fondness as he used to come up to the Wakefield Y.M.C.A. occassionally to teach at my Dojo and I would train with him at Chesterfield.
Please send me a photograph of him and I will include him on the "Absent Friends List" on the I.B.A. web site www.iba.eu.com
He will be remembered as one of the original Milners Marauders on the Memorial Course to be held in July at Worksop.
Best Regards and Kindest Wishes.
Josh.

stuart Bagshaw Empty Memories from Edgar Aukland

Post  AF Sun Jul 04, 2010 11:18 am

Hi Everyone,

Sensei Josh received the following article from Edgar Aukland, and Edgar asked if it might be placed on both the IBA website and this forum.....
_______________________________________________________________________________________________________

GUINNESS BOOK of RECORDS, HUMAN ACHIEVEMENTS

I recently came across the original 1973 edition of the Guinness Book of Records and became aware of the heading (HUMAN ACHIEVEMENTS) illustrating the record made by the late Professor Phil Milner 10th Dan and the karate team from the International Budo Association in 1972.

The Word Record event was sponsored by Yorkshire Calendar T.V. programme and went out on National T.V. programmes throughout the world, when fifteen International Budo karate enthusiasts from around country demolished a 6 room early Victorian house at Idle, Bradford, Yorkshire by head, foot and empty hand in 6 hours on 4th June 1972.
