Dear Ninj,
Spent the day yesterday with Edgar and Joan Aukland, met them at Squires Cafe in Sherburn in Elmet and had breakfast with all the sixties old Rockers before returning to my Dojo in Wakefield and discussing O-Sensei's autobiography book and reminiscing about the early days of training with Phil and the I.B.A.
Edgar has a phenomenal memory and lots of stories, facts and figures to submit to the Forum and the Web site, which I will forward on to you for posting.
The autobiography and Phil's 52 scrapbooks are in the process of being copied up prior to publishing thanks to the kind permission of Suzanne Phil's daughter.
I will bring along some of the material to the next course in Castleford for everyone to have a look at.
Anyone else who has photographs, old certificates, stories or further archive material, please send them on to me at my home address, I will have them copied and returned straight back to you.
The Phil Milner/I.B.A. archives are getting larger by the day so don't hesitate to send in all that you have before we lose any of it.

Best Regards to everyone
Josh

Hi Josh
It is good that students and friends can meet from time to time and reminisce and place their minds in rewind remembering some of the best from days gone by as we did yesterday. The IBA must be the only organisations to reach out to nostalgic lovers everywhere with authentic photos of Phil and his students, like those illustrated on both its web-sites. I’m sure these easy to read memories will fascinate the young and the old alike. Hence sit back and read the Web-sites and think of warm thoughts of happy days gone by. As a Nostalgia buff you can count on me and Joan to keep Phil’s memory alive and we do hope sometime in the future Phil’s memories with be published.

Dear Josh and Edgar

It's a real pleasure being able to share all your truly golden memories of O' Sensei. My few years with him pale in comparison!

Please do keep them coming and thank you both for honouring us with your presence and for honouring Phil's memory.

Best wishes

Yours in Budo
